AOK Today: Share a hack, resource, or local tip with your community

How It Works: Hop on a community group page (geographic, faith-based, hobby-focused, professional, volunteer-based, friendship circle) and provide helpful information and/or answer a question that someone has asked. While a problem shared is a problem halved, good news shared is positivity squared! When we experience something good, and share it with another - our positive emotion intensifies - so combine the two and try think of good news others can use. Find a channel that's meaningful to you for a bidirectional boost - as Prof Jonah Berger says, when we care, we share. You could save someone from hours of research by providing them local knowledge that you've collected over a number of years (or it could be a win-win: someone might be asking about a service you provide).

Cost: Free!

Why I love it: It's simple, time effective for the doer and time-saving for the receiver.
